Got Some New Patents For The Revolution
Made by Nintendo recently, a couple of new patents have been made recently dealing with displacement mapping. This would take an image and "displace" the y values of the image, producing real 3d textures, with very very low polygon counts. The patent involves hardware optimization for it, and another thing that explains rendering all the 3d in the game on a 2d plane. That would make it require a lot LESS power, meaning with low end equipment, Revolution can have better graphics than X360, and on par with PS3.

I followed your site from Joystiq to tell you sir, that you are an Idiot.
Revolution graphics better than 360 and on par with PS3? Pigs flying? Pepsi promoting coke?
Gimme a break...
I am an idiot?
How about first you give me a reason why the Revolution's graphics could not be atleast on par with Xbox 360? And lemme guess, you'll prob say oh Nintendo has never focused on graphics anyway. Wrong! NES, SNES, and N64 were all the most powerful graphics wise of their generations, and when GameCube was going against PS2/Dreamcast, it owned them! It just so happens that Xbox had slightly higher. Nintendo is purposely investing in new technology to make better graphics cheaper.
You sir are an idiot
Atleast state your opinion.
Hey it is very quite possible that the Revolution could have graphics on par if not better than the X360 and PS3. Anonymous you are idiot here. I'm guessing you have never heard of RE4. Best graphical game this gen but GC was weaker than the Xbox. So why is that? Well it is a cool thing called cube-mapping that was used in that game that gave it that edge.
So now the Revolution having more power could use that to even more of an extent. And also they could use other mapping styles such as displacement and paralax. And the big one is they might use a PPU which would really produce some great physics and relieve stress on the CPU alot.
So how about you, anonymous think before you open your mouth and get your info right. And don't insult the creator of this blog. He does all of this research to keep us up to date and you insult him. That is rude and disrespectful.
