A New Look On The Old

Some on the Nintendo Forums are saying that this is how graphics could be better for older games on the Nintendo Revolution. It's not out of thw question, but to remake so many older games would take a long time. I personally think they could look better by adding something like a 2XSAI filter with some anti-aliasing or something to make them look nice. Try settings like that with emulators, and you will see that your games will look much better. It would be nice to play the original Zelda with graphics like that though.

First Revolution Shots In The Wild?

Real or fake? It's fake. This was found and analyzed by someone on the Nintendo Forums stating that it very well could be real do to the quality of the picture, reflections, size, and more. What do I think? It's fake. Look at the front of the Rev, it has lighting on it that was seen in all the pictures online that dosn't match the lighting in the rest of the picture, meaning someone printed out a high quality picture, and pasted it on a box for the model. Plus it's not out of the question to make a model, we had a video somewhere else floating around the Nintendo Forums of some guy who had made a good looking real model of the Revolution, so it's probably the same person. And it wouldn't be hard to get a GameCube to play on the screen, it could either be a media center computer with AV hookups, or a TV/Monitor that looks and acts like a computer monitor, but can also be a TV. Also 1080 Avalanch of all things? You would think Nintendo would either show a new game, or Mario Sunshine, SSBM, Luigi's Mansion, Wind Waker, or Twilight Princess.

Serious Information, But How Serious....

Many of us have lost faith in SeriousGamer, but for some reason, he still tries to spread information. He posted a lot in his blog today, here is the post:

Revolution Explained

What is Broadway?

A Quad Core (two threads per core) processor developed by Nintendo internally in Kyoto Japan in conjunction with NEC and IBM. Processor runs at 2.7 Ghz. Uses a state of the art transistor technology from NEC with SX-8 Technology provided from NEC and Power 6 technology provided by IBM.

What is Hollywood?

Dual Core ATI custom Visual Processing Unit or VPU. Generations beyond what you see in current PC systems. It would provide a new level of graphical detail virtually identical to the quality you would see in the SGI Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park or any of the latest CGI movies such as Shrek. The difference is it will run in real-time.

What is the Visor and how will it expand my gaming experience?

The Visor is an addition to the Revolution. Merely an accessory. It will forever change the way you play games. However you can still choose to play games on your TV. Therefore traditional gamers will not be alienated. Furthermore some games require the visual perspective of a TV such as sports titles like Baseball and Football could be rather difficult from a first person perspective.

The Visor will primarily be used for FPA title Metroid, future FPS titles, will have full functionality in the Next Zelda though you can choose to have the screen vantage point.

A Revolution is Coming March 01 2006

Are you ready to Revolt?"

I dunno about all of this. The processor and graphics sound a bit higher than I would think, especially for lower cost and size of the system. Who knows though, we'll just have to wait.
