Black Friday Video Game Deals!

Well are they worth it? I just got from my share of Black Friday shopping, and no, I didn't buy any video games. After all, I'm buying for others, and my parents and relatives aren't much of the gamers. As for all the deals I've seen though, EB has it's annual buy 2 pre played and get 1 free with a mix of games and DVDs. This really is a good deal if you think about it. Get three new games, which pre-owned are about $45, so you buy 2 of em for $90, but you get a free $45 game. It just depends on how much you spend. They had a couple other choice specials, such as Ultimate Spider Man for $30, Doom 3 (Xbox) for $30, and others. Then it's not a special but the Mario Party 7 GameCube bundle and Red Hot Nintendo DS Bundles are out. I've seen other deals such as a $99 Nintendo DS at Target, a $50 Gameboy Advance SP at Walmart, and more. I also saw Mario Kart DS at Target for $28, netting you an extra $7 to spend on more gaming haha. Video game deals are never easy to find, as retailers can't stray too far below the MSRP so they can make some sort of a profit. The wholesale price of games is far higher than any DVD's making a cheap price for a game noticeable.

As for not directly gaming related objects, think ahead and look for some SD cards that the Nintendo Revolution will use to expand its memory. After rebates, I picked up a 1GB SD card by Sandisk for only $30 at Office Depot! (After a $30 mail-in rebate) I actually picked up two of them, but one is a present for someone. I plan to use mine in my digital camera for now replacing my 512, but then when the Revolution is out, I'll keep it in that, already bumping my memory 3x from 512mb to 1.5GB. Compare to the everyday price of a 1GB SD Card at around $110 and you see that it's a deal you can't pass up. The deal might even go into Saturday, so go out and pick one up! There are other chances to maybe get some cheap memory cards closer to the Revolution release, such as President's Day in February, CompUSA always has great deals. Who knows, maybe by then you can net yourself a nice 2GB memory card! If I hear of any more great deals related to some gaming, I'll let you all know.

Theres also a deal or two I've seen on Memory Stick Pro DUOs that the PSP uses as it's memory storage, but who really cares haha.
