Nintendo Makes Another Appearance At GDC

Like last year, Nintendo has decided to show and present a keynote at this year's GDC. They claim to talk about the Nintendo Wifi Connection service, and possibly how it will work with Revolution. Last year we did hear Revolution info, such as it's wireless out of the box, and the codename of the system. I applied for a job to work at GDC this year, so hopefully they'll accept me and I can somehow convince my parents to travel to California. If so, you'll be getting special exclusive FR only content!

I'm Thankfull For My Revolution...

Well everyone should be saying that by Thanksgiving this year, because Iwata has been on record saying that he wants the Revolution out by Thanksgiving in the US before the holiday rush, and what Iwata wants, Iwata gets. There is no way Revolution could launch any later, they need to make it in time for holiday 2006, and right before black friday is perfect!

Revolutionized Sonic! Is The Hedgehog Ready For A Melee?

IGN recently posted an article on their Revolution channel which sets it's sights on Sega. It has been reported by people very close to Sega that Sonic will indeed be appearing on the upcoming Revolution, but not the same Sonic The Hedgehog appearing on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. This is great to see Sega pushing innovation as they have already with the DS, but this means a possible non-Nintendo exclusive Sonic! (not counting when Sega was a hardware manufacturer of course) It was obivous knowing the Sonic would be coming to the Revolution, but how? The article goes onto talk about how Miyamoto was and still is very interested in the relationship with Sega, and would like to see a cross-over. Now finding Sonic running around in some secret area of a Mario game as an easter-egg just wouldn't do, so what else would make the best cross-over? Well it worked for Capcom, SNK, Marvel, and others, so why not Nintendo? If this isn't a clue that Sega characters are coming to the next Super Smash Bros., then I don't know what would. Everyone has wanted Sonic to duke it out against Mario, and now gamers might get their wish. Melee added tons of characters to the SSB line, but how many more can they make? I mean Ice Climbers and Mr. Game and Watch? Pretty cool none the less, but it seems like their scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Before you know it they'll have to make Wapeach just full a spot in the next Mario sport or SSB game.... And I don't want to see a Wapeach, Sega, save us!
