Live and Wifi Connection, Meet Your New Competition

It was recently found out by Next Generation that Sony's new "Live-Killer" is called PlayStation HUB. The HUB will be featured on the PS3 and PS2, and offers everything Xbox Live does, and takes it a step furhter with more media to the point of offering it more like iTunes, although this won't come free as it is implied that the HUB will have a monthly fee. With more information of the PS3 coming, we have an estimated release date of Sepetember 21st, with it being a simulatenous launch in Japan and US, with Japan estimated on the 16th. Even more news, it seems that the Hard Drive will be sold separately from the PS3 (it uses a standard 2.5" laptop hard drive), which would suggest that the PS3 will launch for $400, and not the unwished $500. Although if you don't have a compatible hard drive, you could be spending an easy $500 on launch day for the system and the hard drive, if not later bundled. I personally though plan to get around all of the extra prices. By then I'll have a new laptop with no need for my old one, so just open it up, salvage some parts, and I got a free 40GB PS3 Hard Drive. I'll also have an unused 512MB Compact Flash Card, so theres my memory card. Not too bad, atleast the PS3 has amazing compatibility with media. The PS3 isn't looking too bad now, knowing of the HUB service, although I just don't know about this controller...
