2006 Predictions

I had recently read a list of predictions for 2006 from some site that was posted on Joystiq. Among them were some very clever ones, along with some even comical in a way such as Sega will finally release a good 3D Sonic game. I decided to make my own list of predictions for 2006.

1. Nintendo will be the winner of E3 2006. They will completely loom over Sony and Microsoft with the full unveiling of The Revolution

2. The PS3 will have an ok launch, but not fantastic due to it's price

3. The DS will drop to $99 MSRP by the end of December 2006

4. The GameBoy Micro will drop to atleast $69 MSRP

5. There will be a 40GB Hard Drive availible for the Xbox 360, if not a 60GB or 80GB by years end

6. The Xbox 360 will be hacked and be able to play burned games

7. Metal Gear Solid 4 will be delayed not released until 2007

8. DS stays at the top of handheld game sales

9. VHS tapes will no longer be manufactured (not gaming releated, but its bound to happen haha)

10. GT4 (or anothe iteration of Grand Turismo) for the PSP will finally be released, but will not sell well because everyone forgot about it after being heard of for so long, but never seen. It won't be bad by any means, but it will do nothing to get PSP over DS.
